Carpenter Ants
Carpenter Ants do not eat wood, they only tunnel in it. While this can cause major damage over a long period of time, it’s never as urgent as termites can be. Since they don’t eat the wood, they must leave the nest looking for food and water, making it easier to find that you have a problem. A good way to figure out the problem is to follow the ant line or ant back to its hive, look for “sawdust” and usually somewhere above the sawdust will be a hole that ants are pushing the sawdust out of, that’s the spot to treat.
